Happy Wednesday, everyone! Welcome to my very first blog post of 2021! If you have followed the blog for a while, you may know that I love classic and timeless clothing pieces that I can wear year after year and style in different ways. A classic white or cream cable knit sweater is a staple for any girl’s wardrobe and I am so excited to share three different ways to style it today!
Pair With a Pattern
Pairing a cable knit sweater with a patterned vest, pair of pants or shoes allows for that elegant-yet-effortless look. I chose to pair a sweater from GAP (similar style linked here) with a pair of black watch velvet jeans from Vineyard Vines. This was the outfit I wore on Christmas Day, but black watch is so versatile and can be worn well into the winter months!
Layers on Layers
Experimenting with layering is so much fun! Sweaters are some of the easiest ways to accomplish this – I simply layered a gingham button down from J.Crew Factory under my cable knit and I’m ready to go! For an additional layer, you could throw a vest or quilted jacket over top.
Dress it Down
For the final look, I paired the sweater with some jeans and Sperry’s. I completed the outfit with my favorite hat from Vineyard Vines and some KJP ocean drop earrings. This is the perfect casual weekend/every day outfit!
