With the official start of fall only a week away, I thought it would be fun to share some looks for early autumn to help you seamlessly transition your wardrobe and get into the spirit of the season! September in New Jersey can be pretty variable weather wise – we usually have some crisp days with some warmer temperatures mixed in. I have found that dressing in layers is the perfect way to accommodate for the fluctuating temperatures while still allowing you to create that classic, timeless fall look!
Outfit #1
For the first outfit, I chose a classic cable knit sweater. This is the perfect fall wardrobe staple that you can also wear well into the winter months. It is so easy to style and can be paired with a simple pair of jeans on a crisp day. Add your favorite puffer vest for an extra layer if needed and you’re ready to go!
Outfit #2
Navy & white stripes are so timeless and make up a large majority of my wardrobe (haha)! Where possible, I like to find ways to wear these pieces outside of the spring and summer seasons. To make the t-shirt more appropriate for September, I paired it with jeans and a comfortable pair of canvas sneakers. For an additional layer, I added this camel-colored sweater blazer to easily transition this look to fall! I already know that this combination will be one of my favorites this year!
Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed or maybe got some outfit inspiration for your own fall wardrobe! What does your favorite transition outfit look like?
