When I think of timeless outerwear pieces for fall, my mind goes right to the quilted Barbour jacket that I always see on Pinterest and different style blogs around this time of year. The plaid lining and lightweight material makes them the perfect autumn wardrobe staple! However, Barbour jackets are quite the investment ranging anywhere from $200-$400 each. When it comes to pieces like this, I am a huge fan of looking for discounts, waiting for things to go on sale, or finding look-alikes that allow you to achieve the desired style for a little bit less!
For about a year, I have had my eye on the Quilted Riding Jacket from L.L. Bean. With just a few small differences, it looks almost exactly like the Barbour jacket but at a fraction of the price! It is perfect for everyday and is a great transitional piece to reach for before it is time for winter coats. Although it is still a bit pricey, this jacket is so classic and can be worn year after year! Below, I am sharing a couple of different ways that I have already styled it – I hope you enjoy!
