Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope you all have had a great week and are enjoying the Christmas season! I always love helping my family decorate our house for Christmas each year, but I also love adding a little bit of holiday cheer to my bedroom as well!
My room is on the smaller side so I like to be mindful of the amount of decor I introduce to avoid it looking cluttered. I have a few simple decor pieces that I pull out year after year that are festive and minimal but still allow me to achieve that cozy holiday feel!
Twinkle Lights
I have had these lights for years and I absolutely love them! The little frosted bulbs and colored lights are perfect for the Christmas season and will work well in any room in your house. I typically wrap them around my curtain rod and they are so fun to look at when you enter the room:
Mini Christmas Tree & Greens
My little Charlie Brown tree is another decor piece that I’ve had forever! I remember going Christmas shopping with my parents when I was younger and wanting to decorate a tree of my own. We found this little tree at a local florist/Christmas tree farm and I have loved setting it up every year since ๐ In the past, I have brought this tree to school to decorate my dorm room and I think it is the perfect size to add a little Christmas cheer to a smaller space. My newest addition is this piece of greenery from the Target dollar section! It looks like a branch of a pine tree which helps to tie my dresser decor together. Plus, it was only $3 so how could I pass that up?!
Christmas Candles
Christmas candles (and any seasonal candle really) are staples in my bedroom! Before I work on homework, sit down to write a blog post, or just relax for the night, I always begin by lighting a candle. I have recently been burning “cypress bayberry” from OceanView Candle Co. (Learn more about Karla and her small business here) and I love it! I also have her mistletoe candle that I am so excited to burn! I love how candles add a cozy feel to your space. Not to mention, they make your room smell amazing as well!
Although these pieces are simple and minimal, I love how they brighten my day every time I walk into my room. Festive decor doesn’t have to be expensive, and can even be made by hand if you feel like getting creative one day ๐ I hope this sparked some inspiration for your own holiday decor or just brought a smile to your face!
Thank you so much for reading – I hope you have a great rest of your week!
