Happy Wednesday everyone and welcome back to The SK Way! I am so excited about today’s post. Over the weekend, I took some time to go through my closet and do a major clean-out. I never got around to switching out the majority of my summer clothes, so I figured it would be the perfect time to see what I had, what I could donate, and what could be replaced. J.Crew Factory had a great sale going on – 60% off everything including clearance! (Plus, for the entire month of October, J.Crew cardholders can receive an additional 20% off with the code CARDPERKS)
I am so excited about these finds and can’t wait to share them with you today!
Navy Blue
Navy blue is my favorite color (if you couldn’t tell by my accidental Instagram theme haha) I didn’t realize how much of my summer wardrobe consisted of blue, white, or some combination of the two! Despite the change of season, I had to find ways to incorporate this color scheme into my fall pieces as well!
On the left is the Woven Ruffleneck Pullover Sweatshirt in the color “Antique Navy”. It has the blue and white details that I love on the cuffs and neckline, but the thicker material of the sweatshirt makes it more appropriate for the cooler weather. This piece is perfect for online classes or working from home – the ruffle detailing makes you feel put together without sacrificing the comfort of a sweatshirt!
On the right is the Colorblock Crewneck Sweater in the Acorn Navy color. This sweater ties in the classic blue and white with a camel color making it perfect for fall.
“Alexa, Play ‘Cardigan’ by Taylor Swift”
Cardigans are one of my favorite fall staples. You can dress them up or down to your liking and there are so many different outfits to pair them with!
I picked up this Open Front Cardigan in two colors – heather dusk and heather acorn. I thought these neutral colors would be the most versatile options and I can already picture the different outfits I can create with them!
Leopard, Leggings, and Loungewear – oh my!
I have always liked leopard print, but I have been absolutely loving it over the past few months. I saw these Printed Cropped Everyday Leggings every time I went into the store and every time I put them back…until now! I finally went ahead and purchased the leopard ones as well as the black and white houndstooth pair. I think they are so fun and will be the perfect additions to my WFH wardrobe!
On the topic of leopard print, I also purchased the Zoe Leopard Calf Hair D’Orsay Flats and I’m obsessed! I love how unique they are! They will go perfectly with a pair of jeans, a simple top, and one of those open-front cardigans from earlier.
I also got another Cotton V-neck tee. I purchased this in white over the summer, and decided to pick up the black this time around. They are perfect for layering under cardigans or wearing with leggings for an athleisure/loungewear look. Basic t-shirts are a wardrobe staple for any season, not to mention it was on sale for less than $10!
Buttons on Buttons
Buttons are a major theme on the J.Crew Website and I’m here for it! I think buttons add a subtle detail that elevates the look of an otherwise simple clothing item. I thought this Button Sweater in the Heathered Dusk color was the perfect neutral sweater to wear with some jeans and those leopard flats. I also purchased the button-collar pullover sweatshirt in the color “Coral Mist” which pairs perfectly with the houndstooth leggings or even jeans! I love how the adjustable button collar allows you to change up the look – it looks so comfortable and I can’t wait to wear it.
Last but not least are these Button-Fly Jeans. I purchased the dark wash pair back in the spring and I love them so much! Since they were on sale at a really great price, I decided to try the medium wash this time. J.Crew Factory has my favorite jeans and I know that I will continue to purchase my denim here for years to come.
Thank you so much for reading if you have made it this far! I love finding great deals and putting cute outfits together – stay tuned for a Deals & Steals segment over on my Instagram stories to see how I style these pieces 🙂
Have a great rest of your week!
