Happy Wednesday, everyone! For this week’s post, I thought I would share some ideas for a late winter capsule wardrobe! When the weather gets colder, I find it can be difficult to find outfit inspiration. I decided to round up some classic, versatile finds that would be great additions to your closet for this time of year and even into early spring! All pieces are linked throughout the post – I hope you enjoy!
Tops
Layering is key during winter/early spring so having a variety of options to mix and match is always a good idea! I don’t think you can go wrong with solid neutrals, some heavier sweaters for those cold, snowy days, and a lightweight long sleeve that can be worn alone or layered to create different looks.
Bottoms
Sometimes I find its nice to have different kinds of pants on hand rather than just plain denim. I love blue jeans as much as the next girl, but recommend playing around with different cuts and hems to spice things up! Black jeans or pants are also a great option to have. I also linked a pair of classic white corduroys that can be swapped for white jeans when spring rolls around.
Outerwear
When it comes to outerwear, a classic camel coat is the perfect piece to dress up your outfit, or add a polished touch to any look. A quality quilted jacket will be perfect for the transition to spring, and a puffer vest or two is great for layering or serves as a finishing touch to an athleisure look.
Shoes
I had so many shoes in mind that I could have added for this category, but decided to keep it simple! I have been seeing different styles of Chelsea boots everywhere this winter and think they are the perfect everyday boot! I also added in two different pairs of sneakers. Each of them can be dressed up or down and can be mixed and matched with many different outfits due to their neutral color and versatility.
Accessories
And finally, accessories! Each of these pieces can be worn year round, but I think a dainty gold hoop, a classic watch, and an everyday tote are the perfect finishing touches when creating a timeless outfit.
Thank you so much for reading!
