Happy Wednesday, everyone! I am so excited for this week’s post! I have always loved planning and organizing, and with back to school season quickly approaching, I wanted to write a post sharing a glimpse inside my planner and how I use to it to keep track of classes, my blog, Instagram, and now, YouTube! For me, when it comes to staying organized, there is nothing better than good old fashioned pen and paper!
What I Use
My Planning Method
Monthly Calendar
At the beginning of each month, I like to open up the calendar page and plan out my blog posts and YouTube videos. This way, I know exactly what posts I have to write or videos I need to film each week. It also allows me to get ahead on things if I have some extra free time. I will also add any exam dates or important events that I know of and highlight them so they stand out. I am a huge fan of color-coding and swear by this in my planner!
Each weekend, I also plan out what blog pictures I want to share throughout the upcoming week. Batching content and having everything set up ahead of time has been a huge time-saver for me, especially if I have an exam during the week. With this system, all I have to do is press “post” when I’m ready!
Daily
On the next pages of my planner, I like to plan my to-do lists for each day including errands I need to run, plans with friends, things I want to get done around the house, etc. If I’m taking a class, this is also where I will write down my assignments or remind myself of any exams or important dates.
I think the key to my organizational system is seeing everything in one place, then prioritizing my tasks to ensure that I am being efficient with my time. Having everything written out in front of me and determining what the most urgent task or assignment is allows me to effectively arrange (or re-arrange) my schedule so I can try and avoid scrambling at the last minute or feeling overwhelmed. So far, I have really been enjoying this method and plan to continue it into the fall as I finish up PA school pre-reqs!
Thank you so much for reading!
