All of the snow and freezing temperatures around here lately has had me looking forward to warmer days. Stores have been slowly rolling out their spring collections and it has been so fun to scope out some of the new arrivals both online and in stores. I am no fashion expert, but I’ve been noticing some trends recently that I thought I would share in this week’s post! If you’ll be looking for a spring wardrobe refresh come March or April, or if you’re like me and never really know how to dress for spring, I hope this post provides you with some inspiration whether you like to stick to the classics or incorporate a trendy twist!
Stripes
By now I think we know I’m a little biased towards anything blue and white striped, but I’ve been seeing these pieces resurface in stores recently! Anything navy, white, or seersucker reminds me of warm weather and adds a nice pop of color to those winter neutrals!
Florals
Shocking, I know (lol). I’m loving these dainty floral patterns which makes these pieces more subtle and therefore more appropriate for early spring. If you’re not ready to go full send on the flowers just yet, adding a fun accessory is an easy way to transition seasons.
Lavender & Lilac
When I think of spring, I think of pastels! I’ve been seeing this lavender color everywhere and think it’s a great option if you’re not one for bold colors. Available in everything from loungewear to sweaters and accessories, I think this shade of purple will be a hit this year!
Sky Blue & Light Wash Denim
Going off of the pastel theme, I’ve also been noticing a lot of light blue, sky blue, and periwinkle shades! Light wash denim is another great way to transition your wardrobe from winter to spring as it tends to brighten up your outfit a bit.
Pistachio & Kelly Green
Last but not least, green! Emerald was huge this fall and winter and I’m starting to see a slight shift over to Kelly green. While this is arguably the perfect spring green, it can be a bit of a statement. With that in mind, some sage and pistachio shades are slowly making their way into stores if you’d rather opt for a more muted look.
