Spring has officially sprung! After a long, cold winter, I have enjoyed the small taste of gorgeous weather we’ve experienced here in Virginia! The blooming flowers and trees along with the much needed sunshine marks the start of warmer days ahead and a fresh wave of motivation! Time has been flying by and I cannot believe it has taken me this long to write another post. I am so excited to be back on the blog today with a very timely post – my 2026 Spring Style Watch!
As much as I love the sun setting later and the increasing temperatures, spring, in my opinion, is one of the hardest seasons to dress for. It can be cold one day, blazing hot the next, and sometimes you experience all four seasons in one day! With that being said, I have been giving a lot of thought to my wardrobe lately. As I continue to refine my personal style and curate a timeless wardrobe that truly feels like me, I’ve been searching for some staple pieces (think: classic, easy, effortless) that help make getting dressed more fun!
Over the past year or so, I haven’t done a ton of shopping. One of my goals was to really work with the clothes I have and find new ways to style my current collection. However, I’ve had the itch to audit some of my spring/summer pieces and find some new classic staples to incorporate into the rotation. As I start to transition my closet away from winter in the coming weeks, I want to make sure that I am being mindful of the pieces I already have and be very intentional with the pieces I choose to invest in. In today’s post, I thought it would be fun to share some things that have caught my eye for spring along with some of the style & aesthetics that have been inspiring me lately. I hope you enjoy and maybe find your own inspiration through this post as you plan for the spring and summer seasons!
in my cart & on my wishlist

A great staple for spring is a lightweight neutral sweater. Over the years, I have purchased so many sweaters from Quince and love them all! Their crewneck boyfriend sweater is one of my go-to choices this time of year. I have a light blue color that I bought last year, and have found myself wanting to re-purchase it in a neutral color. I can already picture so many outfits that this would compliment, even if it’s just to throw over my shoulders to make a classic jean shorts and t-shirt look appear more elevated. For under $50 you can’t beat it!!
Another piece from Quince that I’ve had my eye on is this cotton gauze swing dress. I love a shift dress for spring and summer and this one looks so comfortable – truly a “throw on & go” dress that is so versatile for the warmer months! I love that the pleats and button detailing adds some texture and interest and could definitely see myself styling this for weekend errands, WFH days, or even an casual dinner or ice cream run after the pool or beach.
I always find myself reaching for a small bag or clutch during the spring and summer more than any other season! Whether it’s a special event, date night, or running out for coffee, I don’t always feel like lugging around my purse or larger bag. I loved the woven/raffia style of this clutch I found on sale at J.Crew! It looks so roomy and is slightly more casual than a couple of the other clutches I own. However, it is still very timeless & versatile and will come in handy all throughout the season.
Since I work from home, I love wearing outfits that make me feel put together but still comfortable. Last year, I fell in love with boxer shorts and linen pants! I wear both of these styles so often and they will both be in heavy rotation again this year as they truly check all of the boxes – simple, comfortable, and there are a million different ways to style them! Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of knit shorts popping up at different stores. I think these look so cozy and offer a bit of a a different look than traditional pull-on shorts. I love that you can dress them up for everyday or even wear them as a coverup over your swimsuit. I saw this pair on Meg Defeo from @all_themoments recently and thought they were the perfect warm weather staple!
Last but not least, a classic pair of wrap sandals is on my wishlist for this season! This pair is another recommendation from Meg that she shares so often and raves about! They truly go with everything and are a timeless pair of sandals that I’d have forever! They are a bit of an investment, but shoes are a department that I don’t tend to shop in very often so we’ll see! I’ll definitely keep searching for a less expensive pair, but I can already think of so many different outfits these could go with!
inspiring me lately…
