One of the many things I love about where I live is the abundance of independent coffee shops. Dunkin’ and Starbucks are great, but sometimes I love being a tourist in my local area and finding different small businesses to support! With Memorial Day Weekend (aka the unofficial start of summer here in NJ) only about a month away, I wanted to share my Ultimate Guide to Jersey Shore Coffee Shops – if you’re planning to visit this area over the summer, or just appreciate a good cup of coffee, this post is for you!
Maeberrie Market
Located on Main Street in Avon, Maeberrie Market is one of my favorite spots for coffee and brunch! Not to mention they have the cutest blue & white vintage vibes! My order is a caramel latte with oat milk – they make the caramel from scratch in-house! If you stop by for brunch, my favorite thing on the menu is the croissant breakfast sandwich! I usually add avocado and opt for the side salad – I promise you won’t be disappointed!
Batch.
Located on Main Street in Manasquan, Batch is a coffee, cafe, and juice bar with a variety of delicious options on the menu! My go-to order is a vanilla latte with oat milk. Batch just opened last May and it is such a fun place to grab a coffee and a snack with friends.
Rook
Rook is a local chain specializing in high-quality hand-picked coffee beans. The flavors come from the roasts themselves rather than a sweetener – if you like a strong cup of coffee, this is the place for you! My local store is located on Route 35 in Wall, but there are various locations around Monmouth and Ocean counties. My go-to order is whatever their seasonal cold brew is! Some of my favorites are Strawberry Mocha, Cinnamon Vanilla, and S’mores.
Driftwood
Driftwood is a coastal coffee house located blocks from the beach on 3rd Avenue in Spring Lake. My go-to order is a Driftwood Mocha with oat milk (white chocolate, caramel, and vanilla with espresso and steamed milk). I am definitely a hot coffee girl but with all of the nice weather we’ve been having recently, I’ve been ordering this iced!
Ocean Brew Coffee
Ocean Brew Coffee is located on New Bedford Road, right of off Route 35 in Spring Lake. This family-owned coffee shop opened in May! The owner, Ellen, and her family are the sweetest people and I always enjoy stopping in to say hello! My favorite thing to order is an iced white chocolate mocha with oat milk!
