Happy Wednesday, everyone! I hope your new year is off to a great start. If you are like me and one of your goals is to read more in 2022, I’ve got you covered with today’s post! In this month’s edition of Recently Read, I have two new books to share with you all – I hope you enjoy!
- Business Minded: A Guide to Setting Up Your Mind, Body, and Business for Success – this book by Carly Riordan is one I would recommend to anyone interested in entrepreneurship or turning a hobby into a side hustle or business! Carly is a fellow New Jersey blogger who shares classic and preppy style (you may know her as The College Prepster). I have looked up to her for years and was so excited to see that she published a book! I ordered it as soon as it launched and read the whole thing in two or three days! I am planning to continue blogging alongside my future medical career so I really enjoyed reading about her tips and tricks for taking your hobby to the next level. I also love that she interviewed the women behind some very well-known brands such as Chappy Wrap, Sarah Flint, Dudley Stephens, and more! I couldn’t recommend it enough!
- The Last Mrs. Parrish – I always love to offset my nonfiction or educational reads with something fun and this book by Liv Constantine is the perfect choice! The story takes place in the fictional town of Bishops Harbor, CT. The main character, Amber Patterson, is seeking more for her life and envies the wealth and influence of a local woman named Daphne Parrish. Amber finds ways to befriend Daphne and her family with the intention of slowly undermining her. I love that this book started with suspense from the first page and continues throughout. This is very much one of those stories where you have to put the pieces together as you read which I kind of like as it keeps me wanting more. In all honesty, I am not finished with this book yet but still wanted to include it in the post! This national bestseller was included on the Reese’s Book Club table at Barnes & Noble so I have high expectations for the rest of it! I will definitely keep you all posted on my thoughts when I’m finished.
