Happy March! It is crazy to think that we are just about two weeks away from the start of spring. As we turn our clocks ahead this weekend for daylight savings, we have longer days and (hopefully!) warmer weather coming soon to look forward to! In today’s post, I am sharing my early spring style guide – a collection of five different looks to provide some inspiration for the fresh start of the season. I hope you enjoy!
I love this outfit for the office or the home office! Classic button downs are an essential in my spring wardrobe – whether you opt for white, light blue, striped, or chambray, there are endless ways to dress them up or down! The oversized button down look has also been trending lately which I love – I picked up a couple of these boyfriend shirts from Old Navy at the beginning of the year and have loved styling them. They are currently 50% off making them less than $20 each with over a dozen colors to choose from!
This one is your classic “jeans and a sweater” look with a warmer weather twist! With the ever-changing forecasts that come with spring, layering is very important! I especially love a lady jacket or cropped cardigan for this. The gold button detailing on the Emilie Jackets from J.Crew easily elevates your everyday look, while still acting as a practical option for the weather. I personally like to layer a basic tee underneath so I can unbutton the cardigan or wear it over my shoulders if it gets warm out.
When it comes to building a classic spring wardrobe, investing in versatile basics is key! My top picks would include a pair of linen pants, neutral sandals, and lightweight sweater for layering. I especially love my flag sweater during the spring and summer months! It is the perfect addition to any outfit from Memorial Day to Labor Day and beyond!
When in doubt, a white tee and a pair of jeans never fails! This is the perfect base to build any outfit around. Add a cardigan, a blazer, or different accessories to change up the look depending on the day.
I hopped on the boxer shorts bandwagon last spring and I so am glad that they are back! This is another versatile piece that is so easy to dress up or down. One of my favorite ways to wear boxer shorts is with a basic tee or with my gauze button down from J.Crew Factory. It is one of my go-to “coastal gran” outfits for the warmer months!
Thank you so much for reading! Which outfit was your favorite?
